New paper maps four decades of Formosan subterranean termite spread in Alabama

Our new paper documents four decades of Formosan subterranean termite (Coptotermes formosanus) expansion in Alabama.

The species is now documented in 32 of Alabama’s 67 counties, with inland expansion strongly associated with interstate highways. These records provide a baseline for continued monitoring of this invasive termite in the state.
