Mizumoto Lab Auburn University

Solana (Sol) Hosburgh is an undergraduate researcher in the Mizumoto Lab. She studies how environmental conditions, particularly light, influence tunneling behavior in two subterranean termite species.

Her research combines termite experiments, standardized imaging, and computational analysis of tunnel architecture. Sol was selected as an Auburn Undergraduate Research Fellow in 2026 and presented her research at the Auburn University Research Symposium.
